In order to fully participate in today’s informational society, students need to be able to communicate their ideas clearly in writing. Nevertheless, writing scientific texts, such as a research proposal or thesis, is still one of the biggest challenges for students. In this project, we are developing a digital platform consisting of a series of scientifically valid instruments for measuring and promoting writing processes: (1) knowledge clips for effective writing strategies, (2) the online quiz ‘ what type of writer are you?’, (3) process feedback with ‘keystroke logging’, and (4) self-assessing one’s own texts with ‘comparative judgement’.
